ILLUMINATE! A Nighttime Celebration

Please note: To celebrate the New Year, Shanghai Disney Resort is pleased to present 2024 NYE Castle Celebration – “Ignite the New Year” on December 31 and January 1, in replacement of our normally scheduled “ILLUMINATE! A Nighttime Celebration”. “ILLUMINATE! A Nighttime Celebration” will resume on January 2.

State-of-the-art technology is woven into a performance of light and shadow, creating a magical dream of the light inside of you.

The show utilizes projection mapping, pyro, flames, fountains, lasers, and lighting to give you a fully immersive experience.

Follow your favorite princesses, heroes and friends on a story of light and dreams.

To create a more pleasurable viewing experience for all guests, on days with two performances, we recommend avoiding peak attendance times during the first presentation and opting for the second showing of “Illuminate! A Nighttime Celebration” instead.

As with other live entertainment in the park, the presentation of ILLUMINATE! A Nighttime Celebration may be impacted due to inclement weather or other unforeseen conditions. For example, during poor weather including but not limited to high wind, poor air quality, heavy fog and/or lightning, we may adjust or remove the fireworks effect, or temporarily delay or cancel the show.

CHAPTER TWO: Ignite The Dream - The flame lit inside us fuels our ambitions and dreams.

CHAPTER THREE: Into The Shadows - Adversity threatens to extinguish the light and thwart us from our dreams.

CHAPTER FOUR: Light The Darkness - We must find our inner light, embrace our inner hero.

CHAPTER FIVE: See The Light - Stepping out from the darkness, our light pulls us through and moves us forward.

CHAPTER SIX: Light Your Way - We must hold on to our light and trust it to see us through.
